Loni Clarc and I had a spurt where we would play music with Blue Herron - the very talented Dave and Delphine Kirkland. You should really check those guys out if you haven't. Anyway, one evening on one of those ridiculously cold 2010 winter days, we made our way to their home and did a jam. Dave pulled out a microphone and captured some of the live performances we did. Of those 4 or 5 we recorded that night, this was one of them. From the mind of Loni Clarc, the instrumental song Phantom Limbs was born. It was/is a struggle to keep up the upright bass with his guitar playing, but the song was pulled off. The more I listen to it, the title makes perfect sense.
